Since 997 AD the church in Guastalla (in the past called Verdestalla) consacrated as the Pieve, Cappella di S.Pietro, by Pope Gregorio V, offers shelter to Pilgrims from all over Europe, in particular those coming from the North East along the Theutonicorum way or Ambra street.
Rich in history, ancient memories and illustous precences, properly restored without, nevertheless, erasing signs of the past, is now waiting for the pilgrims of the 2000 Jubilee. How to reach it?
Leave the A1 at R.E. (138 kms) or leave the A22 at Reggiolo-Rolo (285 + 900 kms) and follw in both cases the sign for Guastalla.
