ANWILL
On Tuesday 9 th , in the morning, we went to visit ANWILL SA, one of the most modern enterprises in the region and a leading chemical producer in Poland .
Today ANWILL is the biggest polyvinyl chloride producer and one of the leading producers of nitrogen fertilizers in Poland .
Its main products are:
- Ammonium nitrate
- Calcium ammonium nitrate with magnesium( CANWILL) or CANWILL S with sulphur additive
- Suspension polyvinyl chloride
- Sodium hydroxide
- PVC compounds
- PVC sheets
- Ammonia
- Other chemicals
This company is extremely careful about the impact of their activities on the environment . The most important pro-ecological investments realized in 2004 were the following:
- Modernization of chlorine and soda lye installation. It improved working conditions, decreased electrical and thermal energy consumption and removed from the production asbestos and carbon tetrachloride.
- Development of Central Sewage-Treatment Plant with the construction of the centre of biological purification.
- Reduction of NOx emission in Ammonia Plant
- Optimization of fuel oil combustion process in the company's thermal-electric power station which will result in reduction of dust emission to the air.
